What if I have never paddled before?
On all our paddling trips you will have lessons in paddling techniques. For the sea kayak trip, which uses
closed cockpit kayaks, you will be given lessons in self rescue techniques as
well. If you have never kayaked before, you can still do these trips with
no problem and you will be paddling like a pro by the time the tour is
over.

What type of toilet facilities are available on camping trips?
The sea kayak trip carries a portable toilet and solar shower. The river journey
will have no facilities available except what nature provides.

How much paddling is done in a day?
On most of our trips we try to keep
paddling at a maximum of 4 to 6 hours each day. On the Sea Kayak trip, the
paddling is broken up by stops on islands and snorkeling. The river
trip is more of a steady paddle for the day.

Can I paddle a single kayak?
We have a limited number of single
boats and
they are available on a first come first serve basis. If we have guests
interested in paddling a single we often suggest people trade off
during the trip.

Are your trips suitable for children?
Most of our trips are suitable for
children over 5, however you must keep in mind the child's personal
patience and tolerance level. The sea kayak trip is nice for families
because if the kids are tired of sitting in a boat, they can always hang out
on the island provided an adult stays with them. The Jungle River trip is
more time sitting in a boat, so as long as the child is okay with that,
they should do fine. The Maya cave trip should be no problem for children ..

What is the weather like in Belize?
Belize basically has 2 seasons - wet
and dry. The wet season runs from June - February, with the heaviest rains
coming between June and October. The dry season, where we get very little
rain, is March - May. The mean daily temperature is around 85 degrees with
nights at about 70 along the coast and a little cooler inland.
